Hacker A50 Turnado Edition 530

Hacker introduce the A50 Turnado Edition 530 helicopter 3D brushless motor. Handwound from a single strand 1.5mm wire and mounted in Germany the 530kv motor is designed for the use in 600 to 800-size 3D helis and 10S to 12S input. The motor sports an outer diameter of 52mm with a length of 61mm and weights 465g. It features Sapporo Ezo precision ball bearings, polished cooling fins and is available soon.

HeliCommand HC X-series V.116 firmware update

HeliCommand announce the V.116 firmware update for the HC X-series flight stabilisation system. The latest version eliminates framerate-dependent servo twitching and allows for optional deadband adjustment to overcome inaccurate radio gimbals or overshooting in certain flight conditions. Get the needed PC software here and simply run the update route in order to get the latest firmware version.

Century universal carbon tail control rod system

 

Century introduce this universal carbon tail control rod system for helicopters with 20 to 27mm tail boom diameter. The set includes two plastic clamps with a default diameter of 25mm that are adjustable using 1mm padding strip to make them usable with smaller 20mm tail booms also. Other parts included in the set are a 850mm long 5mm control rod, rod ends, steel ball joints, plastic ball cups and mounting hardware.

YS 91SR-Tareq helicopter engine announced

YS team pilot Tareq Alsaadi has released a small notice about the upcoming YS 91SR-Tareq helicopter engine. No information are available at the moment but Tareq states that the engine will differ from the currently available 91SR-3DS (you can see above), will of course have less fuel consumption than the ‘top-of-the-foodchain’ YS120 and that a first video of the engine in action will be available soon.

Video – Thunder Tiger Heli Team Tip gyro location

Team Thunder Tiger America’s Nick Maxwell helps to understand the importance of gyro location in this short video. In flybarless and flybar-equipped machines, the gyro’s position can increase susceptibility to vibration and negatively influence flight performance. Here Nick explains how motor vibration will affect the gyro in present set-up, causing helicopters to drift. He demonstrates the solution: simply mounting the gyro farther away from the motor.

Alees RC Rush 750 electric helicopter

Alees RC have released additional information and pictures of the Rush 750 electric heli. The design incorporated one or the other gizmo such as an universal motor mount that is designed to fit multiple size and brand motors, as well as multiple motor positioning. Also the canopy mounting posts are outfitted with a separate sacrificial carbon piece to prevent damage to the mainframe during an incident. And under the canopy mounting post you will see removable rigging pins when used at build up, allow for easy zero pitch adjustment for the rotor head. This removes the need for additional set up equipment.
