Simstick USB interface
UK-based company Simstick have just recently introduced their new USB interface, which allows users to connect their transmitter to a PC without using wires, making for a cleaner desk setup. Super easy to use, the radio automatically connects to the USB device anytime the transmitter is turned on. Simstick is compatible with most Spektrum based radios including the DX8, as well and the majority of 6 channel receivers with a narrow pin spacing. There is no appreciable loss in latency and it will even allow you to fly with transmitters that do not have a trainer port such as the DX7SE.

Axi 5345 HD & 2203 VPP brushless motors
Czech company Axi Model Motors has a new brushless outrunner motors available. The more powerful and improved AXI 5345/xx HD Gold Line motors are suitable for 3D planes up to 8,000g and aerobatic planes up to 12,000g as well as large realistic flying models up to 15,000g in weight. The lack of gearbox noise makes these motors particularly suitable for scale models. The new 10mm shaft with standard 8mm endings makes the motor robust enough even for very demanding 3D flying while the three ball bearings add to the overall efficiency of the HD Gold Line. The 5345 HD motors are available with three different ratings from 225kv (5345/14) down to 171kv (5345/18). Suitable for much smaller models is the Axi 2203/40 VPP Gold Line. Tested and tuned by world class pilots the outrunner motor is designed for the use with 2S LiPo batteries in 150g-class 4D models.

Outrage Hyper Evolution mufflers
Outrage released preview pictures of a new line of helicopter muffler called the Hyper Evolution Series. The exhausts feature full aluminum casing, CNC one piece manifold, stainless stell threads inserts, reinforced tank pressure outlets and the come with chrome polished finish. Also available are new exhaust adaptors in black, blue, red and orange. Made from high grade temperature resistant material they are available soon for .50, .55 and .56-size exhausts with .90-size items added in the near future.

Spektrum DX8 software update v1.02
Although only available for a short period of time Spektrum RC have just released a second software update for the new DX8. Available after a short registration process, the software version 1.01 and 1.02 contains several corrections that fix some trim and memory issues. The latest update 1.02 fixes a problem ‘while adjusting a servo’s Travel Adjust value in the Servo Setup screen, if the clear button is depressed, both the value and the channel’s reversing will reset to their default values of 100% and normal. This reset could cause an unsafe condition if unnoticed, particularly if the channel has been reversed on the throttle’. This latest software is an absolute must.

Hacker A60 V2 brushless motors
Hacker released a new line of A60 brushless outrunner brushless motors. The 28 pole power plants are available with kv ratings of 195 (A60-24S V2), 217 (A60-22S) and 245 (A60-20S V2). The 60.4mm long motors weight at around 595 gram and feature a diameter of 59mm. Hacker recommends 77A to 90A brushless controllers for the new motors.
