Voodoo 400 electric helicopter

The Voodoo 400 is a mid-size electric helicopter designed for the use with 465mm to 470mm main rotor blades. Sharing design ideas with the larger Voodoo 600 the machine is designed for the use with brushless motors such as the Pyro 400-14 and 4S 4000mAh LiPo batteries. The carbon fibre chassis is of a 2-piece design with a narrow and very stiff upper part that takes the main shaft bearing holders, servo mounts, tail boom mount, motor, controller and flybarless system and a wider lower part to mount the battery in. The battery compartment is very flexible and allows the use of up to 35mm high and 51mm wide or 40mm high and 46mm wide batteries. The rigid rotor head is mounted to an 8mm main shaft and sports 10mm blade holders to allow the use of a large variety of 470mm blades with the head being designed to allow to up to 14 degrees pitch and 8 degrees cyclic angles. The tail of the heli that comes with or without AC-3X flybarless system is driven by a 7mm wide belt that runs in an aluminium tail boom.
