Video – KDE700XF-495 & CC Ice2 controller
KDE have uploaded a video featuring the KDE Direct KDE700XF-495 brushless motor coupled to a Castle Creations Ice2 HV 160 controller with a new soon-to-be-released code on it. Significant improvements have been made in development for the governor runtime, power output, and overall system efficiency in conjunction with the XF Brushless motor series. Notice during the flight the lack of any noticeable bogging or underspeed under various manoeuvres, clearly seen in the consistency of the camera delay on the rotor blades and the motor sound (governed to 2175 rpm, +/- 14 degrees of pitch, 8000W+ peaks). The new algorithm is meant to work extremely well with the 700XF-495 motor with a noticeable increase in available power.

I hear overspending, choppy gov, you name it. Overall it sounds really bad. I don’t know why they would want to showcase it. I hear the motor is fantastic, but in this video the ESC lacks big time.
