iPhly iPhone RC transmitter

If you are familiar with Parrot’s AR.Drone then controlling an aircraft with your iPod Touch for iPhone is nothing new to you but now you can also control nearly any other indoor or park fly model with the help of iPhly’s app and a jig to click the music player or mobile phone in. The software translates wrist motions into electrical signals that standard RC modules can understand. You can use iPhly with large or small models, it works equally for sub-ounce indoor models and large park flyers. You hold the phone horizontally, like you might hold a model airplane. If you want to roll left, you roll the phone left. If you want to pitch up, you pitch the phone up. If you want to throttle up, you swipe your thumb up on the touchscreen. Swipe right–yaw right. iPhly works with any standard, Futaba-style RF module plus the ones from Spektrum, Futaba, HiTec, FrySky, Corona modules and others. The app also lets you store thousands of models and you can use the integral camera on iPhone to photograph your models and store the pictures as part of the model profile. Currently funds are raised via kickstarter.com to produce the first batch so if you are interested to get rid of your old-fashioned stick transmitter, just click here and pre-order yours today.
